CONCENTRIC TUBE HEAT EXCHANGE ASSEMBLY WITH IMPROVED INTERNAL FIN STRUCTURE ABSTRACT A heat exchanger formed with concentric, spaced tubes 12, 14 defining a substantially annular chamber 16 there- between. There is an internal metallic fin comprising a strip of corrugated sheet metal extending spirally within the annular chamber 16 with the adjacent turns of the spirally formed strip 18 being spaced from each other to provide a spiral passageway between the side edges of adjacent turns. The metallic fin corrugated sheet metal strip 18 bears a plurality of small apertures 28 to sig- nificantly improve the boiling heat transfer coefficient.
