Processes for making concrete stabilized against alkali-silica reactivity (ASR) from alkali containing components. The process includes adding lithium bearing ore treated to release lithium to a fluid concrete mixture comprising cement, aggregate, and water in an amount sufficient to minimize ASR. Concrete stabilized against alkali-silica reactivity (ASR) is also provided.

Procédés de production d'un béton stabilisé contre la réaction alcali-silice due à des composants contenant des alcalis. Ce procédé consiste à ajouter un minerai porteur de lithium, traité de façon à libérer ce dernier dans un mélange de béton fluide comprenant du ciment, un granulat et de l'eau en quantité suffisante pour atténuer la réaction alcali-silice. L'invention concerne également un béton stabilisé contre ladite réaction.
