ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION A concrete forming structure including a pair of transversely spaced rows of side-by-side upright panels providing a form to permit a concrete wall to be formed. The panels each have flame structure secured to an outside wall thereto. Fasteners are provided for connecting the frame structures and the panels together. Vertically spaced horizontally extending channels are secured to the associated panel. Upright walers are positioned in abutment against the channels for rigidifying the thus assembled panels together. The vertically spaced horizontally extending channels have vertical channel holes therein spaced apart uniformly along the length of the channels for retaining co-action with J-shaped hook fasteners for installing walers at uniformly spaced positions along the length of the panels. The holes along one row of panels being initially out of alignment with the uniformly spaced channel holes on the opposite row of panels. Clip rod structures are provided for securing the walers to the horizontally extending channels without requiring any fillers to re-align the opposing channel holes. The clip rod structures each include a rod having a generally C-shaped hook permanently attached at one end. Removable attachment means is assembled on an opposite end of the rod and is engageable with the associated waler for clamping the waler against the horizontally extending channels in right angle relation relative thereto. The C-shaped hook member has an upper leg engageable atop of the associated channel and has angularly related lower legs provided on a lower end of the C-shaped hook member. The spaced upper and lower legs on the hook member define a slot therebetween of sufficient size and an outer channel leg on the channel is receivable in the slot for securing the waler in clamped frictional engagement against the channels. The C-shaped hook members are retainingly engageable with the channels at random pre-selected positions along the length of the channels regardless of the relative position and spacing of the vertical holes in said channels.
