Abstract A process for applying and providing an enhanced polyester-based polymer concrete overlay on a porous substrate structure is provided. The process requires first applying a monomeric high-molecular weight acrylate- or methacrylate-based pretreatment composition to the substrate and then forming the polyester-based polymer concrete overlay over the treated substrate.
