A composition and method for removing hardened or semi-hardened cementitious substances such as concrete, plaster, mortar, grout and similar substances from surfaces such as exterior and interior building surfaces and exterior surfaces of automobiles. The composition includes anhydrous citric acid as an ingredient together with a thickening or viscosity building agent and a wetting agent. The composition is inherently non-agressive and environmentally friendly. Therefore, the composition is not hazardous to users and is unlikely to damage surfaces from which the cementitious substance is to be removed.

L'invention concerne une composition et un procédé permettant d'éliminer des substances à base de ciment durcies ou semi-durcies, telles que le béton, l'enduit, le mortier, le coulis et des substances analogues sur des surfaces, notamment les surfaces extérieure ou intérieure d'un bâtiment et les surfaces extérieure et intérieure d'un véhicule automobile. La composition renferme un acide citrique anhydre, un agent épaississant ou activant la viscosité et un agent mouillant. La composition est non agressive et ne nuit pas à l'environnement de par la nature de ces ingrédients. Aussi, ne présente-t-elle aucun danger pour les utilisateurs et ne risque-t-elle pas d'endommager les surfaces présentant une substance à base de ciment à éliminer.
