ABSTRACT A condensate-drain has a housing containing the control-unit and inlet and outlet apertures arranged side by side. The control-unit comprising at least one bimetallic-plate, a closure-part arranged on the low-pressure side with a valve-stem passing centrally through the bimetallic-plate, a car- rier on the valve-stem engaging the bimetallic-plate, and a bushing forming a valve-seat for the closure-part and an abutment for the bimetallic-plate. The bushing comprises an inlet-connection projecting centrally through the bimetal- lic-plate and surrounding the valve-stem to form a flow-passage 16. The car- rier on the valve-stem consists of a cover-part enclosing the free end of the inlet-connection projecting from the bimetallic-plate. The inlet-connection and/or cover-part have access openings to the inlet-connection.
