ABSTRACT A condensate drain having a control device comprising a bimetallic element arranged on the inlet side and a valve member loaded in the direction of opening by inlet pressure, one side of the bimetallic element resting upon an abutment, while the other side actuates the valve member. A valve seat is provided for the valve member. A snap-action spring bears upon the abutment and acts, in the direction of the axis of the valve member, upon the control device. The spring-constant of the snap-action spring is numerically larger than that of the bimetallic element.
