ABSTRACT A condensate-drain has a bimetallic control-element on the inlet- pressure side, and a closure-part loaded in the direction of opening by the inlet pressure and co-operating with a valve seat. The bimetallic control-element comprises at least two bimetallic snap-discs arranged in series in such a manner that, when the closure-part is open during creep-life of the snap-discs, the lifting movement of the closure-part is equal to the sum of the creep-lifts of all of the snap-discs. The snap-discs differ from each in snap-force, snap tempera- ture, and spring-constant such that each of the snap-discs closes, by snap-lift, within an individual section of the total operating pressure of the drain, at temperatures close to a predetermined pressure-temperature curve of the closure- part.
