Condensed diazepinones Abstract The specification describes condensed diazepinones of formula I Image (I) (wherein ?? represents one of the divalent groups Image , Image , Image , Image (S) (T) (U) (V) having the meanings specified in claim 1 for the groups A, X, Z, R1, R2 and R4 to R8), the salts thereof and processes for preparing them. The compounds exhibit favourable effects on heart rate and in view of the absence of inhibitory effects on gastric acid secretion and salivation and the absence of mydriatic effects, they are suitable as vagal pacemakers for the treatment of bradycardia and bradyarrhythmia in human and veterinary medicine.
