La présente invention concerne une composition cosmétique conditionnante et détergente pour les cheveux, stable, et comprenant, en milieu aqueux: (A) un système conditionneur constitué essentiellement de (i) au moins un alcool gras en C14-C22 et (ii) au moins un agent tensio-actif cationique choisi parmi les sels d'ammonium quaternaire, et éventuellement (iii) une silicone cationique, (B) une base lavante constituée essentiellement de (i) au moins un agent tensio-actif non-ionique de type alkylpolyglycoside, et éventuellement (ii) un agent tensio-actif amphotère plus particulièrement choisi dans le groupe des bétaines, (C) un système stabilisant comprenant (i) au moins un mono-ou-di-stéarate de glycol, et (ii) au moins un polymère réticulé du chlorure de méthacryloyloxyéthyltriméthylammonium.
