ABSTRACT A condom comprising a cap adapted to fit on the head of a penis, the cap comprising an inner layer (1) and an outer layer (2) defining a chamber therebetween, the inner layer (1) having an opening (6) for passage of semen (8) into the chamber to be retained therein, and ribs (3) provided between the inner layer (1) and the outer layer (2) in order to separate the inner layer (1)and the outer layer (2) and facilitate the passage of the semen (8) into the chamber. The ribs (3) may be of substantially annular form and spaced apart longitudinally from the opening (6) along a longitudinal axis defined through the centre of the opening (6).
