ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The reaction of a polyfluorocarbonyl compound such as a polyfluoroketone or polyfluorocarboxylic acid fluoride with fluoride ion and a polyfluoroallyl chloride or fluorosulfate produces a polyfluoroallyloxy compound, e.g., CF2=CFCF2OCF2CF2SO2F. The polyfluoroallyloxy com pounds copolymerize with ethylenically unsaturated monomers such as tetrafluoroethylene, chlorotrifluoroethylene or vinylidene fluoride to form polymers which are moldable, and in some cases electrically conducting or are water- wettable and dyeable.
