The invention relates to a confectionery product comprising a polymer system, flavor and sweetener, at least about 70% by weight of said polymer system comprising polyvinyl acetate (PVAc) and less than 10% by weight of said polymer system comprises polymer having a molecular weight (Mw) of greater than about 50000g/mol.
