A system and method for a subscriber of a mobile communication system to selectively identify a preference for cells having a capability to access an Internet Protocol (IP) application is disclosed. The identified cell capability preference is utilized by the system in assigning a cell to the subscriber. The system broadcasts IP based capabilities of its cells to the subscriber to facilitate the identification of the cell capability preference. The terminal of the subscriber transmits the terminal's IP based capabilities to the system to facilitate the cell assignment process.
La présente invention concerne un système et un procédé destinés à un abonné d'un système de communication par mobile afin d'identifier sélectivement une préférence pour des cellules ayant une possibilité d'accès à une application IP. Le système utilise la préférence de possibilité de cellule identifiée par attribution d'une cellule à l'abonné. Le système diffuse, auprès de l'abonné, les possibilités, basées sur l'IP, de ses cellules afin de faciliter l'identification de la préférence de possibilité de cellule. Le terminal de l'abonné émet vers le système les possibilités du terminal basées sur l'IP afin de faciliter le procédé d'attribution de la cellule.
