ABSTRACT A data processor system for augmenting the procedural aspects of linking a local computer terminal with a remote host computer through a commercially available communication network. This system applies access protocol statement generators to penetrate the boundaries in establishing the communication link. An error recognition subroutine deciphers error responses in communication and implements alternate or repeat solution paths. The foregoing system permits the use of sophisticated remote host based applications by persons with little or no computer skills.
