ABSTRACT The present invention refers to elastic means for appliance in absorbent products such as disposable diapers having an impermeable backing sheet (2), a liquid permeable covering (3) and an absorbent pad. Such means comprise elastic means (5) placed transver- sally to the product in the crotch region, which, in combination with shrinkable means (4) placed in the thighs region, longitudinally to the product, cause the product to take an anatomical configuration, with no need for making cuts or grooves in the product panel which is essentially rectangular.
