A flexible patch (10) provided with a plurality of light sources (16) mounted in spaced apart array on its undersurface, and covered with an optically transparent polymer material. The light sources (16) are energized with an electrical current supplied by a flexible polymer battery (44), which is preferably rechargeable. Electrical current is conveyed through a lead (42) that extends from the flexible battery to the flexible patch (10) and then through an electrical circuit that includes a plurality of conductive traces (12, 14) formed using a conductive ink applied to the surface of a flexible substrate that supports the light sources. The thickness of the flexible patch (16) at its maximum is less than 1.0 millimeters. The light sources (16) can be separatly grouped, the electrical current supplied to each group individually controlled to achieve a desired light intensity, and/or duration exposure to the light therapy over different portions of the undersurface (40) of the flexible patch (10) with different portions of the treatment site.
Ce timbre souple (10) est pourvu de plusieurs sources lumineuses (16) disposées en réseau sur sa face inférieure, séparées les unes des autres et recouvertes par un matériau polymère optiquement transparent. Ces sources lumineuses (16) sont excitées par un courant électrique fourni par une batterie polymère souple (44), rechargeable de préférence. Le courant électrique est amené par un conducteur (42) connectant la batterie souple au timbre souple (10) et ensuite par un circuit électrique comportant plusieurs tracés conducteurs (12, 14) dessinés à l'aide d'une encre conductrice déposée sur la surface d'un substrat souple porteur des sources lumineuses. L'épaisseur du timbre souple (16), à son point maximal, est inférieure à 1,0 millimètre. Les sources lumineuses peuvent être groupées séparément et le courant électrique alimentant chaque groupe régulé séparément afin d'obtenir l'intensité lumineuse et le temps d'exposition à la photothérapie désirés au niveau de différentes parties de la face inférieure (40) du timbre souple (10) et de différentes parties du site à traiter.
