The invention concerns agglomerating or briquetting of a mineral in fine granular state of less than 5 mm for smelting which may be mixed with fines by conglomerating the mineral with a binder prepared from at least sodium silicate, acrylic resin, vinyl alcohol, borax, magnesium chloride and if required during smelting an anti-oxidant such as sodium. The bound conglomerates or briquettes have superior strength properties.

L'invention concerne l'agglomération ou la formation de briquettes d'un minéral à l'état de fines granules, inférieures à 5 mm, pour la fusion, pouvant être mélangé avec des fines, par conglomération du minéral avec un liant préparé à partir d'au moins l'un des produits ci-après: silicate de sodium, résine acrylique, alcool vinylique, borax, chlorure de magnésium et, si nécessaire, durant la fusion, un anti-oxydant tel que le sodium. Les conglomérats ou les briquettes liés présentent d'excellentes propriétés de résistance.
