The invention relates to the discovery that CLnA.TM. compounds induce apoptosis of cancer cells. The activity of CLnA.TM. was demonstrated in two human breast cancer lines (breast cancer cells MCF-7 and MDA-MB-231), using MTT assay and fluorescence- based assay. Our results suggest that CLnA.TM. has a cytotoxic activity and induce apoptosis in human solid tumors cells lines. Therefore may be used for the treatment of cancer, including advanced cancer.
