ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A connecting assembly for coupling ignition cables with spark plugs for use with internal combustion engines. The connecting assembly consisting of a spark plug boot and a cable terminal portion interacting to prevent extraction of the ignition cable from the spark plug boot. The spark plug boot having axially aligned internally located guide recesses cooperating with protrusions on the terminal portion. The spark plug boot also has rotatably displaced notches located therein which engage the terminal protrusions and prevent extraction thereof from the spark plug boot.
