A connecting device for connecting segments of concrete or similar settable material, the device including a plastics connector part (1) of dumb-bell-like form and two housing parts (4) for receiving respective opposite portions (2) of the connector part. Each housing part has an internal tapered form so that, when the housing parts are set in opposed concrete segments to be connected and the connector part is inserted in the housing parts, the taper of each housing part causes the connector part to stretch thereby providing a tensile load between the opposite portions (2) of the connector part. Preferably, the taper has two angles of slope, the leading section causing the connector part to stretch and the hind section of taper causing the connector part to be trapped therein by relieving a measure of the stretch.
L'invention porte sur un dispositif de raccordement permettant de raccorder des éléments en béton ou des éléments d'un autre matériau similaire prêt à être mis en forme. Ce dispositif comporte une pièce de raccordement en matière plastique (1) en forme d'haltère et deux parties constituant une enveloppe (4 ) destinées à recevoir les deux parties opposées (2) de la pièce de raccordement. L'intérieur de chaque partie constituant l'enveloppe est en forme de cône de sorte que, lorsque ces parties reçoivent les éléments opposés en béton à raccorder et que la pièce de raccordement est insérée dans lesdites parties constituant l'enveloppe, leur conicité fait que la pièce de raccordement s'étire, donnant naissance à une force de traction entre les parties opposées (2) de la pièce de raccordement. Le cône a, de préférence, deux angles d'inclinaison, la section antérieure dudit cône amenant la pièce de raccordement à s'étirer et la section postérieure l'emprisonnant du fait d'une réduction partielle de l'étirement.
