Il y a plusieurs façons d'installer une pompe centrifuge à succion en bout. Généralement, dans la pratique courante, on les installe horizontalement en utilisant comme support les pattes du moteur de la pompe et aussi parfois en utilisant des pattes intégrées à la pompe. La présente invention consiste en un socle-connecteur (anglais: "connector-base") permettant de fixer une pompe centrifuge à succion en bout VERTICALEMENT tout en solutionnant deux problèmes fondamentaux : d'abord assurer un support solide à la pompe (socle), ensuite permettre de connecter de façon étanche (connecteur) la pompe co-axialement avec son tuyau d'aspiration, d'où l'expression "socle-connecteur".
