Swanson ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This disclosure teaches in combination a connecting sleeve and new pole section connected to each other monolithically for use in a method for replacing an erected utility pole (usually wood), without disturbing hardware mounted thereon. The utility pole includes a proximal section having a bottom end attached to the earth and a distal section having hardware mounted thereon. The distal section (with its hardware intact thereon) is severed from the proximal section. The distal section is connected monolithically to project from the new pole section by inserting and securing the distal section in the connecting sleeve by means of grouting. -1-
