A connection adapter (1) is disposed intervening between a communication module (20) for connection to a radio packet communication network (40) and high-level equipment (10). The connection adapter (1) comprises a connection controller (121) for controlling connection between the high-level equipment (10) and the radio packet communication network (40), and a communication controller (122) for relaying the communication by the high-level equipment (10) using the communication module (20). When the communication controller (122) of the connection adapter (1) detects duplication of a TCP packet received from the high-level equipment (10), the communication controller (122) discards the duplicated packet.
