The invention concerns a system for installing several extensions (2) on a common telephone line (3) which nevertheless enables communication with each extension specifically, wherein a caller transmits a supplementary number for designating the extension. In such a case, each extension is provided with a directing and selecting circuit (4) enabling it to know whether the extension is selected by processing (26) said additional designation number, thereby easily solving the problems of cohabitation on a common physical telephone line with several installations whereof the specific applications and modes are different, even antagonistic.

Pour pouvoir installer plusieurs postes (2) téléphoniques sur une même ligne (3) téléphonique et pouvoir néanmoins joindre chaque poste téléphonique, spécifiquement, on propose qu'un appelant émette un numéro supplémentaire de désignation du poste. Dans ce cas, chaque poste est muni d'un circuit (4) d'orientation et de sélection qui lui permet de savoir si ce poste est sélectionné par traitement (26) de ce numéro de désignation supplémentaire. On montre qu'en agissant ainsi, on peut résoudre plus facilement les problèmes de cohabitation sur une même ligne téléphonique physique de plusieurs installations dont les finalités et modes sont différents voire antagonistes.
