A connection route switching device disposed at plural nodes connected to a network, including routing means for communicating route information, signaling means for setting a connection, route calculating means for calculating a routing route on the basis of an instruction of the signaling means, a topology information database for holding route data of the route calculating means and renewing the route data on the basis of information from the routing means, and switching means for outputting an instruction to alter the connection setting, wherein information on places to be excluded from the route is contained in a message (SETUP message) for establishing the connection.
