Various connectors for vent-bags of the type employed mine ventilation systems are disclosed. In one form the connector comprises a male coupling ring having axially extending lugs and a female coupling ring having axially extending re-entrant slots or sockets adapted to receive said lugs such that the coupling rings can be connected and disconnected by relative angular rotation of not more than 45° - and preferably not more than 30° - after being axially aligned and juxtaposed. The lug and socket coupling is one form of primary coupling means disclosed. Also disclosed is the use of secondary coupling means whereby one coupling ring can be approximately aligned and supported from the other to facilitate the operation the primary coupling means.
