IMPROVEMENTS IN OR RELATING TO A CONNECTOR ABSTRACT A connector for connecting a pipe to a hose comprises a cylindrical protrusion on the pipe supporting an outwardly flared frusto-conical nipple. The hose is to be placed over the nipple and a sleeve is provided having a corresponding frusto-conical bore with internal threading to enable the sleeve to be tightened on the nipple. The cone angle of the bore is not the same as the cone angle of the nipple.
