A connector assembly for interconnecting optical and/or electrical conductors comprises a first connector part (1) for one or more first conductors and a second connector part (7) for one or more second conductors, wherein the second connector part is adapted to be inserted into a housing (21) of the first connector part with an insertion end to establish a connection between the respective conductors. A coupling auxiliary piece (13) is adapted to be attached to a support plate (14) or the like, which coupling auxiliary piece comprises means for receiving and supporting each connector part independent of the other connector part, wherein the second connector part in its position received in the coupling auxiliary part is inserted into the first connector part if the first connector part is received in the coupling auxiliary piece.
Ensemble connecteur destiné à raccorder entre eux des conducteurs optiques et/ou électriques, comprenant un premier élément (1) de connecteur destiné à un ou plusieurs premiers conducteurs, ainsi qu'un second élément (7) de connecteur destiné à un ou plusieurs seconds conducteurs, et dans lequel le second élément est conçu pour être inséré dans un logement (21) du premier élément et qu'il est pourvu d'une extrémité d'insertion aux fins d'établissement d'une connexion entre les conducteurs respectifs. Une pièce (13) auxiliaire de couplage est conçue pour être fixée sur une plaque de support (14) ou analogue, ladite pièce comprenant des moyens destinés à recevoir et à supporter chaque élément de connecteur indépendamment l'un de l'autre, cette pièce étant caractérisée en ce que le second élément de connecteur, une fois logé dans ladite pièce auxiliaire, ne peut être inséré dans le premier élément de connecteur que si celui-ci est également logé dans cette pièce.
