A connector assembly includes a connector having an inner member with first and second open ends. A rigid one-piece plastic retaining clip is slidably mounted within aligned apertures in one end of the connector to removably secure an end of a tubular conduit therein. The clip has a pair of opposed ends connected by a pair of spaced sides forming an elongated opening therebetween extending between the end members. A pair of curved flexible fingers extend outwardly from one of the ends of the clip for engaging the connector to bias the clip toward a locked position with the conduit. A chamfered surface is formed in a front surface of the sides to permit the passage of the end of the conduit between the sides and through the elongated opening after the clip has been mounted in the apertures.
