A connector assembly is provided for connecting an inflatable article such as an inflatable garment or air mattress to a source of inflation air which presents a low profile during manufacturing and in use. The connector includes a semi-rigid, hollow connector housing (14)having a first, generally tubular, insertable section (12), insertable through an opening (16) in a flexible wall of the inflatable article. A second external section extends oppositely from the insertable section and outwardly from the flexible wall (22) upon insertion, the external section and the insertable section are connected and oriented generally at an angle, preferably a right angle, with respect to each other.

L'invention concerne un assemblage de raccordement pour raccorder un article gonflable, notamment un vêtement gonflable ou un matelas pneumatique à une source d'air de gonflage présentant un profil bas lors de sa fabrication et de son utilisation. Cet assemblage de raccordement comprend un compartiment de raccordement creux semi-rigide (14) présentant une première partie d'insertion généralement tubulaire (12), insérable dans une ouverture (16) d'une paroi souple (22) de l'article gonflable. Une seconde partie extérieure s'étend de manière opposée à partir de la partie d'insertion et vers l'extérieure à partir de la paroi souple, lors de l'insertion, la partie extérieure et la partie d'insertion étant reliées et généralement orientées pour former un angle entre elles, de préférence un angle droit.
