2122736 9309311 PCTABS00022 A connector (30) for assembling components of scaffolding is disclosed comprising a barrel (32) having an opposite end having a longitudinally extending slot (36). A pivot pin (38) and an abutment pin (40) extend across the slot (36) and mounted at the opposite end of the barrel (32). A free hanging latch (42) has an offset aperture (44) for pivotally mounting onto the pivot pin (38) and a channel (46) for receiving the abutment pin (40). One end of the channel (46) is configured to abut with the abutment pin (40) when the latch (42) is in a locked position and the other end of the channel (46) being configured to abut the abutment pin (40) when the latch (42) is in an unlocked position. The latch (42) has a tab (48) which is offset beyond the end of the barrel (32) whereby pressing on the tab (48), the latch (42) pivots from the locked position to the unlocked position allowing egress of the brace from the connector.
