Abstract of the Disclosure An electrical connector, which can be coupled to a second similar connector to establish electrical connection therebetween, comprises an insulating body portion having a plurality of fingers extending therefrom, an outer one of which fingers carries no contact and each other one of which fingers carries in a recess a respective contact facing the outer finger. The fingers having contacts can overlie one another in a stepped arrangement or can all lie in the same plane. The sizes of the fingers and the gaps therebetween are such as to permit coupling together of similar connectors whilst avoiding the possibility that the contacts can be touched, so that the connector can be used arbitrarily as a power input or output connector.
