9143 ABSTRACT An electrical connector in which a wire supporting ledge is formed on a planar surface such as a connector housing cavity wall so that a fine, insulated wire lying along the ledge will be prevented from moving along the surface when a terminal having an insulation piercing edge is moved transversely of the ledge along the surface into engagement with the wire to establish electrical connection with the wire.
