ABSTRACT A connector member for joining a channel-section member e.g. a channel-section cross-rail in a suspended ceiling structure to a member extending transversely e.g. a channel section main grid member. The connector member tapers in plan from its front end which is provided with a connector portion for engaging with the transversely-extending member. At the front of each side the connector member has a notch which engages the side walls of the channel member when the tapering side portions are inserted through horizontally extending slots in the channel side walls. Adjacent the rear edge, each side of the connector body has a rearwardly-facing shoulder which engages the rear edge of the slot in the channel side and resists disengagement of the notches from the channel side walls by rearward displacement of the connector body relative to the channel member.
