ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention provides a constant velocity uni- versal joint of the type in which an outer member and an inner member are mounted together by means of a cage member, said cage member being provided with a plurality of balls each mounted in a ball window thereof, each of the balls being in engagement with respective pairs of axially extending guide grooves in fac- ing surfaces of the outer member and the inner member, the facing spherical surfaces of the outer member and the cage member being slightly eccentric with respect to each other such that a gap formed between the two spherical surfaces gradually decreases towards one end of the joint, and facing spherical surfaces of the inner member and the cage member being slightly eccentric with respect to each other such that a gap formed between the two spherical surfaces decreases gradually towards the other end of the joint.
