ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A construction composition is provided which utilizes an alkali oxide, such as calcium oxide, a silacious material having a high surface area to volume ratio, cement, fibers, and preferably other constituents. A method of making the foregoing compositions is also described. The final construction composition can replace many conventional building materials and is particularly versatile, fire, rot and vermin resistant, and insulative.
