ABSTRACT A set of parts for use in the contruction of an article of furniture such as a drawer includes a connecting device and two panel members, to which, in use, the connecting device is attached. The connecting device has a socket the cross-section of which corresponds to at least a major part of the cross-section of one of the panel members so that an end portion of the panel member can be fitted in the socket. It is then held within the socket by resiliently interengageable locking elements on the end portion and within the socket.
