An electrochemical storage cell (300) comprises a core and a rectangular shell (305) that receives the core (200) snugly therein. The rectangular shell (305) has first and second open ends. A first end cap (335) is used to close the first open end. An anode terminal extends through the first end cap (335) from an interior portion of the electrochemical storage cell (305) to an external portion thereof. A first gasket (1405) is secured within the rectangular shell (305) between the first end cap (335) and the core (200) to resiliently hold the core (200) away from the first end cap (335). A second end cap is used to close the second open end. A cathode terminal extends through the second end cap from an interior portion of the electrochemical storage cell to an external portion thereof. A second gasket is secured within the rectangular shell between the second end cap and the core to resiliently hold the core away from the second end cap.
L'invention concerne une cellule (300) de stockage électrochimique comprenant un noyau et une coque rectangulaire (305) qui reçoit le noyau (200) en l'enserrant. La coque rectangulaire (305) présente des première et deuxième extrémités ouvertes. Un premier capuchon (335) d'extrémité est utilisé pour boucher la première extrémité ouverte. Une borne d'anode s'étend à travers le premier capuchon (335) d'extrémité, d'une partie intérieure de la cellule (300) de stockage électrochimique à une partie extérieure de celle-ci. Un premier joint (1405) est fixé à l'intérieur de la coque rectangulaire (305) entre le premier capuchon (335) d'extrémité et le noyau (200) afin de maintenir élastiquement le noyau (200) écarté du premier capuchon (335) d'extrémité. Un deuxième capuchon d'extrémité est utilisé pour boucher la deuxième extrémité ouverte. Une borne de cathode s'étend à travers le deuxième capuchon d'extrémité, d'une partie intérieure de la cellule de stockage électrochimique à une partie extérieure de celle-ci. Un deuxième joint est fixé à l'intérieur de la coque rectangulaire entre le deuxième capuchon d'extrémité et le noyau afin de maintenir élastiquement le noyau à l'écart du deuxième capuchon d'extrémité.
