14 ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A constructional building set includes, as its basic elements, a plurality of linking units (5) and a plurali- ty of clamping members (1, 2). Each linking unit includes at least one connecting rod (6) having a generally ball- -shaped head (7, 8) at each end. The clamping members match with each other in pairs, and by clamping such pairs about head portions of respective linking units, a large varity and number of assemblies or articles can be built. The head portions are retained in recesses (3) in the clamping members (1, 2) which can be urged more or less tightly towards each other by means of suitable tighten- ing means (4, 9). Assemblies or articles built in this manner can be movable, or be changed or modified just by loosening some of the tightening means and after such changes, the assemblies can be made stable or rigid again by tightening the loosened tightening means.
