Conventional switches for detecting operation of a door handle include a contact type and a capacitance type, and they have problems such as a contact failure due to aging and a malfunction due to rain, and in addition, they have inferiority in multifunctionality required for other applications. A contact detection device of the invention has a support means (8) having a movable section displaced when subjected to contact; a cable-like piezoelectric sensor (4) supported at a part by the support means (8) and deformed in association with displacement of the movable section (8c); and a signal processing means for processing an output signal of the cable-like piezoelectric sensor (4). The cable-like piezoelectric sensor (4) has a bend (4a) to form simultaneously deforming sections, and contact is detected when the simultaneously deforming sections are deformed in operative association with the movable section (8c).

Le capteur piézoélectrique (4) en forme de câble présente un coude (4a) pour former des sections simultanément déformables, et le contact est détecté lorsque les sections simultanément déformables sont déformées en association fonctionnelle avec la section mobile (8c).
