In order to improve the optical characteristics. with simultaneous improvement of the ability of accommodation and its compatibility, the contact lens com- prises an aspherical area bordering on the spherical area, whereby the curve representing said aspherical area and said circular are representing said sperical area have in their junction area substantially the same radius of curvature and substantially the same gradient.
