ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A contact member is disclosed for electrical conductors, in particular cable wires of telecommunication systems. The contact member comprises two electrically conductive contact sections each including a contact slot. In order to simplify and make less costly manufacture and assembly of the components including the contact members, the contact sections are formed from an insulating material and are provided with metallised surfaces.
