CONTACT RETENTION ASSEMBLY ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A contact retention assembly for an electrical connector comprising a retention disc having a passage therethrough receiving an electrical contact. Radially resilient retention fingers integral with the disc have inwardly extending ribs which engage within an annular groove in the contact to retain the contact in the passage. A relatively rigid collar is mounted over the retention fingers in front of the disc to restrain the fingers against outward movement thereby locking the contact in place. The collar may be slidably removed to allow removal of the contact from the contact passage from the rear.
