A contact sensitive device comprises a member (12) capable of supporting bending waves, three sensors (16) mounted on the member (12) for measuring bending wave vibration in the member, whereby each sensor (16) determines a measured bending wave signal and a processor which calculates a location of a contact on the member from the measured bending wave signals. The processor calculates a phase angle for each measured bending wave signal and a phase difference between the phase angles of least two pairs of sensors so that at least two phase differences are calculated from which the location of the contact is determined.

Cette invention concerne un dispositif tactile comprenant un élément (12) capable de supporter des ondes de flexion, trois capteurs (16) montés sur l'élément (12) qui mesurent la vibration des ondes de flexion et déterminent chacun un signal d'onde ce flexion, et un processeur qui calcule le point d'un contact sur l'élément à partir des signaux d'onde de flexion mesurée. Le processeur calcule un angle de phase pour chaque signal d'onde de flexion mesurée et un déphasage entre les angles de phase d'au moins deux paires de capteurs de manière à ce qu'au moins deux déphasages soient calculés en vue de la détermination du point de contact.
