A contact sensitive device (10) comprising a member (12) capable of supporting bending waves, a first sensor (16) mounted on the member for measuring bending wave vibration in the member, the sensor (16) determining a first measured bending wave signal and a processor which calculates information relating to a contact on the member (12) from the measured bending wave signal, the processor applying a correction based on the dispersion relation of the material of the member (12) supporting the bending waves, characterised in that the device (10) comprises a second sensor (16) to determine a second measured bending wave signal which is measured simultaneously with the first measured bending wave signal and the processor calculates a dispersion corrected function of the two measured bending wave signals which is selected from the group consisting of a dispersion corrected correlation function, a dispersion corrected convolution function, a dispersion corrected coherence function and other phase equivalent functions to determine information relating to the contact.

L'invention concerne un dispositif sensible au contact (10) comprenant un élément (12) capable de supporter des ondes de flexion, un premier capteur (16) monté sur cet élément et servant à mesurer la vibration des ondes de flexion dans ledit élément, ce capteur (16) déterminant un premier signal d'ondes de flexion mesuré, ainsi qu'un processeur calculant les informations associées à un contact sur l'élément (12) à partir du signal d'ondes de flexion mesuré, ledit processeur appliquant une correction sur la base de la relation de dispersion de la matière de l'élément (12) supportant les ondes de flexion. L'invention se caractérise en ce que le dispositif (10) comprend un second capteur (16) servant à déterminer un second signal d'ondes de flexion mesuré simultanément au premier signal d'ondes de flexion mesurée, le processeur calculant une fonction corrigée en dispersion des deux signaux d'ondes de flexion mesurés, cette fonction étant choisie parmi une fonction de corrélation corrigée en dispersion, une fonction de convolution corrigée en dispersion, une fonction de cohérence corrigée en dispersion et d'autres fonctions équivalentes corrigées en dispersion, d'où la détermination des informations associées au contact.
