Light-shielding layers are adhered to the lower surface of a glass plate, spaced apart from each other and defining a slit having a width of L. An array of rod lenses is located below the glass plate, such that the optical axes of the lenses pass through the slit. The lower surface of the glass plate is generally covered, and exposed via the slit only. Hence, the leakage of lights reflected from points near a reading position into each photoelectric conversion element is minimized, whereby the element outputs a pixel signal faithfully representing that part of the image which is located at the reading position.
Des couches opaques sont collées à la face inférieure d'une plaque de verre; elles sont espacées l'une de l'autre de manière à définir une fente de largeur L. Un réseau de lentilles barreau est disposé sous la plaque de verre de manière que l'axe optique des différentes lentilles soit vis-à-vis de la fente. La face inférieure de la plaque de verre est totalement masquée, exception faite de la fente susmentionnée. Ainsi, on réduit au minimum les pertes de lumière réfléchie de points proches d'une position de lecture par un élément de conversion photoélectrique. Cette disposition constructive permet à l'élément d'émettre un signal de pixel représentant fidèlement la partie de l'image située à la position de lecture.
