An apparatus automatically analyzes and culls-out defective contactless smart cards. Analysis of smart cards may include RF ranging for both near and far ranges, card type decoding for sorting or encoding using a multi-protocol reader, full memory reading and writing, concave and convex card flexing, optical graphics verification of both sides of card, reading and verifying printed serial numbers, and matching encoded serial numbers with printed serial number. The apparatus also provides high speed encoding and initializing of contactless smart cards. Contactless cards moved through machine serially without belts and rollers. The testing and encoding sequence includes bending and flexing the smart cards followed by RF testing. Self-positioning capability provides accurate card positioning over RF antennas.
L'invention concerne un appareil qui analyse et élimine automatiquement des cartes à puce sans contact défectueuses. L'analyse des cartes à puce consiste à effectuer un test RF à la fois sur des plages proches et éloignées, à décoder un type de carte de façon à effectuer un tri et un codage à l'aide d'un lecteur à plusieurs protocoles, à lire et à écrire dans une mémoire totale, à fléchir une carte de manière concave et convexe, à vérifier optiquement des éléments graphiques sur les deux côtés de la carte, à lire et à vérifier des numéros sériels imprimés, et à établir une correspondance entre les numéros sériels codés et les numéros sériels imprimés. L'appareil permet également de coder et d'initialiser les cartes à puce sans contact à une vitesse élevée. Les cartes sans contact sont sériellement déplacées dans la machine sans aide de bandes transporteuses ou de rouleaux. La séquence de test et de codage consiste à plier et fléchir les cartes à puce, puis à effectuer un test RF. La fonction d'auto-positionnement permet de positionner les cartes de manière précise sur des antennes RF.
