ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A container, particularly a drum, having at least one bung in the upper wall, whose centre area is curved inwardly and whose boundary area adjacent to the inward curva- ture is inclined towards the outer wall, a bung being disposed on a funnel-shaped elevation and an outwardly projecting dis- charge channel being impressed with a descending slope in the transition zone between the centre area and boundary area, said discharge channel emptying into the funnel bottom of the elevation.
