A container lid and container body locking mechanism is disclosed. The lid and body contain a plurality of annular flanges and annular notch rings respectively and spaced apart in a pre-determined configuratiuon so as to provide a tight leak-proof seal when the lid is fitted over the container body. A tamper proof detachable strip is provided in the container lid.
